So that Ryanair Toilet Charge thing was not a Joke?

After announcing the company’s first yearly loss in over two decades last year it seems that Ryanair are again looking for more unusual ways to make money. First mentioned a few months ago the idea of charging passengers for toilet use has again been put forward.

Speaking to the Guardian newspaper Michael O’ Leary has confirmed that Ryanair will be requesting that a credit card reader be installed on toilets by manufacture Boeing. He also said that the company is currently considering the removal of two of the three toilets currently on board Ryanair planes to make way for six extra seats. Hmmmmm.. comfortable…;-)

In defense of this idea he maintained that average flight times were around one hour so there was no need for so many toilets.  I think it’s safe to say that we can expect lots more of these cost cutting measures form Ryanair in the near future.

If you plan on flying to Murcia with Ryanair then keep an eye on any changes they are bringing in such as the recent plan to remove baggage handlers (still under consideration). Don’t end up paying more than you have to.
