Family holidays can sometimes be stressful occasions especially when there is a lot of traveling involved. Long journeys may make mum and dad grumpy but can sometimes be worse for children who are prone to motion sickness.

Some children may not be used to the heat in countries like Spain which can also cause upset so here are some helpful tips when travelling with children in your Murcia Airport car hire.

• If your child starts to feel bad then try keeping their mind occupied with something else rather than dwelling on it.

• Bring along some music or audio books that you know are favourites.

• Try coming up with roadside games like who can spot the most red cars or first lorry.

• Don’t encourage you child to read as this is a major cause of motion sickness for a lot of people. The same goes for handheld computer games.

• Don’t obscure the child’s view as this may lead them to dwell on feeling sick. Also don’t sit them right in the back if renting a large car.

• Take breaks when on long drives. Getting out of your hire car for a break will help the child feel better.

• Don’t smoke in the car.

• Drive slowly when on rocky surfaces.

Scheduled to be completed in 2010; this new airport in Murcia is going to be built to cope with increasing number of passengers at Murcia’s San Javier Airport, announced region developer Casas de Lorca.

Mike Hamilton, a spokesperson of Casas de Lorca said that the progress of the anticipated Murcia Airport is outstanding news for the region, as it will help cope with the passengers’ number at the current airport. It will make travel hassle free and more convenient for both regular tourists and new passengers using the new facilities.  Murcia is an attractive destination for local owners and tourists. The region has plenty of attractive scenery, history, and good value for money. The €266m plan will add to the popularity of the region.
