I feel like we are writing a lot here recently at Murcia Airport Car Hire about the doom and gloom surrounding many areas of the travel industry so I thought id share this rather driving related story today to lighten the mood.
It seems that our friend in the USA have found a way of teaching their kids about the dangers associated with driving well in advance of the legal age by using the Mario Kart game on the Nintendo Wii.
At Vail Christian High School in Colorado students have been allowed to take part in the game under a “Distracted and Drowsy Driving Project” banner. The idea was formed in collaboration with local firemen and police officers.
Students are asked to play the game while talking on a mobile phone. A thirteen year old girl spoke of finding the task very distracting and difficult.
Hmmmm could work I guess. I’ve heard worse ideas.
